Offline speech-to-text notes and voice keyboard for Android
Last updated: July 9, 2026
MyVoiceBook (“the app”) is developed by Paul Craciunoiu. This policy describes how the app handles information on your device.
MyVoiceBook is designed for privacy: speech recognition runs entirely on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your audio or dictated text.
The app uses the microphone to capture speech for on-device transcription in the notes editor and in the system voice keyboard (IME). Audio is processed locally and is not uploaded to us or third-party speech services.
Notes are stored locally on your device in an app database. When you use the voice keyboard in other apps, the IME may read surrounding text in the active field only on your device to choose spacing and capitalization. That text is not transmitted off your device.
Internet access is used for:
Internet is not required for dictation once a model is installed.
If you buy MyVoiceBook Pro, Google Play processes the transaction. We receive purchase confirmation through Google Play Billing to unlock Pro features on your device. We do not receive your payment card details.
Notes and downloaded models remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Android backup may include app data if enabled on your device; we do not control device backup behavior.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
